The REAL DEAL vs BAKERS (WILD PAIR)

So today's post is gonna be about the the expensive versus the inexpensive.  So many times we spend tons of money (ME) on the real deal, but there are some shoe brands who have mastered the art of giving you the same look for LESS.   I'm not advertising for Charmin, but trust me less is more!   Bakers Wild Pair collection has done this flawlessly.

These are by Giuseppe Zanotti and cost over $700.00

Gilian WP
These are by Bakers Wild Pair collection for $160.00 and you CANNOT even tell the difference.

These are by Giuseppe Zanotti and have swarovski crytals and also cost of $700.00 (on sale).

Glisten WP
These are by Bakers Wild Pair collection and are actually an inch higher and are on sale now for only $109.00.

These are the famous Giuseppe Zanotti wedges that you've seen a lot of celebrities in.  They could cost up to a good $900.00.

Lola WP
These are by Bakers Wild Pair collection and only cost $95.00 and come in a variety of colors/patterns to choose from.   I ordered a pair myself (in red, sister has them in black) and they are awesome.

These are by Dsquared 2 and cost over $600.00.

Anna WP
These bad boys are by Bakers Wild Pair collection and only cost $189.99.

These are the Giuseppe Zanotti open toe wedges which cost over $600.00.

Jilly WP
These are by Bakers Wild Pair (which I have in the cheetah print) and they are now on sale for only $89.99.

These are by Steve Madden and cost about $158.00.

I am totally in awe!

I had to sidetrack from my shoe blog just to share this with a few others. There is a new movie that is coming out soon entitled "The Strange thing about the Johnsons."  It is a movie about a father and son who have a (SEXUAL) relationship!!!!   Now someone please help me comprehend this.  When did incest become okay, let alone accepted enough to be made into a movie. Not only that but the trailer for the movie totally outraged me.  I cannot believe that America is endorsing pedophiles and child endangerment.  This is breaking laws in so many ways.  Instead of going forward society is moving backwards.  We need to stand up for things that are right instead of turning a blind eye and acting like it isn't there.  We are setting the wrong path for the next generation.  Making movies about that crap isn't going to stop it.  My mind is totally boggled right now.  And although I know I might walk out mid-movie, I have to see this just so I can be 100% accurate on how nasty this world and the people in it are becoming.  I refuse to have my brothers and sisters and one day children be exposed to things of this nature.  It isn't right, never has been and never will be!

Click on the link to watch the trailer at your own risk (because trust me it's a risk).    I advise that only people 18 and older watch it.

Stars in OUR shoes!

A lot of times, seeing as we can't actually BE them we try to be LIKE the superstars in Hollywood.  Mainly in the way we dress.  But in this post I'm gonna show you stars who are walking in our shoes... literally.  Alot of times we think stars are paying thousands of dollars for shoes when sometimes, they're going to the same places we are!  The shoes I'll be showing have all been featured here on the I Scream Shoes Blog.

Kim Kardashian
In the photo we see Kim Kardashian in the shoes I have which are the Sam Edelman Quantum shoes (without embellishments).  I featured these on here a couple months ago (you can view in later post).

Christina Milian
Christina Milian headed to her daughters birthday party in the wonderful Lola Wedges from the Wild Pair for Bakers collection.  I also just featured these on here so you can go read more about them.

Fefe Dobson
Fefe Dobson took a daring chance and rocked the red carpet with these Jeffrey Campbell rockin' wedges.  You can read more about where to find them on my older post.

Garcelle Beauvais
We all remember her as Fancy from the Jamie Foxx show.  She sure is looking fancy here in these Sam Edelman Lorissa pumps in hot pink.  I have these shoes in the black suede and they are my favorites out of all my shoes!

Kimora Lee Simmons
Kimora Lee Simmons going back to her modeling days and striking a pose while also wearing the Sam Edelman Lorissa pump.  Look back on previous post to find where to get them.

Brandy
Brandy gave her out fit a little edge in these Rock and Republic studded pumps.  I've been eyeing these shoes on endless.com since the beginning of this year (they've just been reduced) and I cannot wait to add them to my collection!

Can you say JEFFREY CAMPBELL!!!!

Hey shoelovers!  My post today is on one of my favorite shoe designers, a Mr. Jeffrey Campbell.  If you are like myself and are a little daring when it comes to your choice of shoes then he is just the guy.  You can find his shoes almost anywhere, he's more than a household name.  So for those of you who love to have all eyes on you these shoes are for YOU!  (All JC shoes can be found at solestruck.com)

For Real
I am envious of those of you who live in a place where you don't have to experience winter! I love these shoes.  The wedge/platform is awesome and the faux snakeskin print makes it even more hot.  They are 6 wonderful inches and come in plenty of other colors for you to choose from.

Lita Spike
When I first saw these I almost fell out my chair.  I love shoes with spikes and/or studs.  These are to die for.. literally!  The spike detailing up the heel is impeccable and I can't wait to have these in my closet!

Night Walk
At first when I saw these I was like umm... whoa.  But looking on FB I saw a couple friends with them and on the foot they are totally awesome!  They are definite showstoppers.  They come in a plethora of colors to choose from, so don't hesitate to get them.  Take it from me, you wont be disappointed!

Rockin'
I've been eyeing these bad boys for months! I love the abstract open wooden heel and the lace up detailing. I've personally saw them on foot and they are gorgeous!  They also come in a cheetah print (found on shopnastygal.com) and in pink which can be found on the website mentioned above.
Elegant Stud
Love love love love love love these!   If you need a pair of flats/loafers that will standout you need to get these!  They come in numerous colors and the funky studs are crazy cool!

Zigi Shoes

A new brand I am pretty obsessed with as of late is the Zigi brand.  They have Zigisoho, Zigigirl and a few others.  A couple of great looks I found by them are on heels.com, karmaloop.com and DSW.  As I mentioned in the previous post wedges are definitely one of the new things for this season which Zigi has accomplished beautifully.  Also, I am totally in love with chunky platform shoes.  I'll be showing you a couple favorite styles by Zigi brand that I am sure you'll love!

The Nevada Shoe
These wedges are to die for... literally!  They are as I call them "wedge, with edge".  LOL.   The spikes on the back add the utmost flare to this shoe by Zigi.  They also come in black and can be found at heels.com (or karmaloop.com for cheaper). They can also be found at DSW for $80.00 without the spikes.

Janice Shoe
Once upon a time our mothers were wearing these type of shoes and we would have cringed!  But now we can appreciate their level of style with these chunky platform heeled shoes by Zigi.   They have a 6 1/4 inch block heel which are sexy and high but comfortable to walk in.  They will spruce up just about any outfit. They can be found at karmaloop.com (heels.com for cheaper).

Joyana Shoe
These cuties are just adorable.  They also feature the same cheetah pattern as the Janice shoe but with a nice pop of red and a super high wooden heel.  Depending on your style, they can be dressed up or thrown together with some jeans.  Snatch them while you can.  They also come in black with a red platform and wooden heel and can be found at heels.com.

WEDGES!

So ladies, the shoe trend that has been catching my eye as of late are wedges.  They are EVERYWHERE!  I don't know about you but that is definitely great for me.  The weather is quickly changing and we can't wear those cute toeless, backless or strappy shoes we like so much.  The best alternative are wedges which are super comfy and very stylish no matter the height.   And guess what???... I've found a couple favorites for you all!  Baker's has really continuously impressed me for the past year and a half.  They have really "stepped up their shoe game" as we would say.  I'll be introducing a couple of my most-wanted wedges from their Wild Pair for Bakers collection.

Cecila WP Wedges
These wedges are new to the Wild Pair for Bakers collection.  They also come in Red and black as well as Taupe (shown above).  They feature funky spike detailing around the edges and on the bow of the shoe which can be seen on other shoe designers such as Christian Louboutin.

Limelight WP Wedges
If you are a bit daring and love a little animal print to go with your outfit of the night then you can try out these Limelight Wedges also from the Wild Pair for Bakers Collection.  They also come in Black and have a lace design going up the back.

Lola WP Wedges
These are one of two favorite wedges from the Wild Pair for Bakers collection.  These are the Lola Wedges in Pink.  They also come in purple, blue and black.  They have nice unique faux snakeskin pattern on the shoes to give it that little bit of edge!

Lolita WP Wedges
When I first saw these wedges on Bakers I wanted them immediately.  I have been looking for some red shoes and I knew these were it.  I took to long to order and they went out of stock but they are now back on pre-order and I won't be missing it this time around.  These are the Lolita Wedges from the Wild Pair for Bakers collection.   They are the absolute perfect color red and from the on-foot pictures I've seen they make your legs look spectacular.   The height of the wedge is the same as the Jilly WP Wedges (which I have ) so I know they are super comfy and easy to walk in.   Get them while you can!

Lily WP Wedge Boots

Last but definitely not least are these Lily wedge boots from the Wild Pair for Bakers collection.  They are great for fall and definitely for the winter season that seem's to be approaching sooner than later.

If you're looking for some great buys on wedges you should definitely consider stopping by Bakers.com and heading to Wild Pair.  I've seen the same designs on much more expensive brands such as Giuseppe Zanotti for an arm and leg more.  If you can afford it, by all means go for it but if not you won't be missing out with these great alternatives!

Quantum of Solace

Well before you have to figure it out on your own.  I'll let you in on a secret... I LOVE Sam Edelman shoes!  Along with my Lorissa pumps that I have by him, I also have the Quantum embellished shoes.   They are very stylish and add flare to any outfit.  They are black suede and have beaded design work all on the back with a metallic silver heel.  They are comfortable to walk in, the heel does not feel as high as it looks.  Gone are the days where we just wear plain black shoes ALL the time.  Spice it up a little...

These make me fall in shoes all over again... .every time!

SHOEology 101

Ok... so it's time for the DO's and DON'T's of shoes.

-DON'Ts
When going with toeless and/or backless shoes, true to size is not always the best option with shoes (especially if you have wide feet).  Always try to go a half (1/2) size up.  This will prevent the back of your foot from hanging off your shoe and/or your toes to be spilling off of the front which are big DON'Ts.   Going a half size bigger will give your feet the room it needs while allowing them to look like they fit properly and not like you tried to stuff in a size 7 when you're a 10.

This is just...... not cute.

-DO's
Where colored sandals.  Bright colors, pastels, prints.  Alot of neutral colors and whites are in for this spring.  So when wearing that, don't be afraid to go a little bold with the shoes.  A nice turquoise, hot pink or yellow will suffice.  Pair those with your white and/or neutrals and your outfits will SCREAM I'm ready for spring/summer.

Jessica Simpson

Spikes gon' WILD!

Hey everyone!  Today I will be featuring my favorite shoes.  I've had them for about a year and I have not one complaint.  I would say they are the shoes of the year and even the years to come.  They are the Sam Edelman Lorissa Pump in black suede (also available in other colors).  They are comfortable and stylish and very "in."  They have spikes all over the back and going down the heel.  When you walk into any room or down any street your are DEFINITELY going to be noticed in these!   They just SCREAM look at me.  I also plan on purchasing them in hot pink and the leopard print (both can be found on http://www.bloomingdales.com/).

If you have a bit of edge in your style and want a WOW factor when you dress up, I highly recommend these!

Shoes from my sister!

Hey everyone!  Today I'll be making a post about some great shoes my sister bought for me a couple days ago. They are Lana Sandals  by Dolce Vita which she got for a GREAT bargain at Marshall's shoe store.  Thats awesome for me because I saw them on Endless for $181.53! Once again they're very high (5 1/2 inch heel), everyone knows I love high heeled shoes.  They're very cute and stylish and very summer savvy.   Go check out your local Marshall's to find them.

Dolce Vita has done it again!!

My FIRST post!

I call this my "smurf" pic cause if you paint me blue and dye my hair white thats exactly what I would look like! lol

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog "I SCREAM shoes."   My name is Samantha Howell and I.....  am a shoe-aholic.  From  I've come to know myself I have been buying shoes non-stop.  So I have finally decided to put it to great use and create a blog where you can come get the REAL DEAL on shoes and find out about the latest, hottest shoes that are out right now.  I will be posting shoes that I buy and other things like shoes that are in season, fashionable and even those WHAT NOT TO WEAR shoes.  So for all you shoe lovers, get ready!

P.S.- I already mentioned the word 'shoes' about a catrillion times in my intro...

The first shoe I'm posting are my most recents ones which I recieved TODAY!  Since Wedges and Prints are very much IN this season I decided to purchase the Forwood wedge pumps from Aldo shoe store.  They are a seventies inspired shoe and I am very much in love with them.  They are very high (which I love) but do not feel that way at all! A very comfortable yet stylish shoes and another hot wedge to add to my collection for this season.

These shoes are definitely a must have.  They also happen to come in another turquoise and multi-colored print.
