A little Q&A... plus my "MUST HAVES" right now.

Hey my shoenistas.   So one of my (faithful) followers wanted me to answer a couple questions.  I know some of you fellow shoe lovers can also gain some insight from it.  If you also have any questions you'd like me to answer or things you'd like me to blog about feel free to contact me at ss.howell@yahoo.com.  Thanks dolls!

Q:  When do you stop buying shoes?
A:  NEVER!  If you don't have to.  LOL.  As long as buying shoes is not detrimental to any essential part of your life (faith, finances, health, family, etc) then feel free to buy as much as you want.  I personally do not believe that there is a time that you can say OKAY I'm going to stop buying shoes, because just like other things (clothes, jewelry, etc) they do go in and out of season and if you want to stay trendy, you do have have to keep up!  If you don't buy shoes for the trends and is just a true shoe love like myself you will always see it fit to have shoes.   And if you're a REAL shoe fanatic it will just be physically impossible for you to stop buying shoes no matter how much will power you have.  Trust me.. I've tried!   :)

Q:  What if you have a lot of shoes, what do you do with them?
A:  There is always someone in need.  I believe everyone should give back in some way, shape or form.  We all have different purposes here on earth but one common purpose we all have is to help others as much as we can.   You can donate your shoes to people who might not have the means to buy the wonderful shoes that you do. I was watching the TV the other day and discovered what is now one of my favorite shows.  It's called E-Drop Off and was started by a young lady at the age of 22.  She only takes designer items (so name brands like Prada, Gucci, YSL, etc).  You send them to the company and they sell them on Ebay for you and then send you a check with your money.  So you can either keep it for yourself and/or donate it.  What I would suggest is that you do a 60/40 and donate most of the proceeds to a charity or some form of organization that helps people (churches, Boys and Girls clubs, etc) and then keep the rest and buy yourself some MORE shoes!  :)   You can also bring them to places like Goodwill and/or Salvation army and give them to those stores and you'll be able to claim in on your taxes.

Q:  What if you no more room for shoes, but do not want to part with them?
A:  There is gonna come a time when you are going to HAVE to part with some of your shoes.  But you have to think of it not as parting with them, but as making room for new and better shoes! ;).   If not you can become a hoarder.. and thats a no no.  Make sure you can designate a specific area for your shoes.  The best way that I know to maximize space for your shoes are the stackable shoe racks.   You can get them at Walmart and they hold lots of shoes and when you get more all you need to do is buy another rack and stack in on top of the ones that you have or attach them on to the sides.

I hope this helps guys!!   xoxo

Nudey's!

Hey everyone..  haven't blogged in a while.   But I'm back!

So, in every girls shoe-drobe there MUST be a rocking pair of nudey's.   Every shoe-nista should have themself a pair of nude shoes and I'm telling you this is not a want is is a necessity.  What can you pair some good nudey's with you ask?? Almost anything!   From all black to colors to prints.   There was a time when we would get dressed and ask our mother's what shoes should we wear and you would hear "black, because it goes with everything."    Well my loves, NUDE is the new black.

My nude pumps are from Bakers.  They were a great steal and I got them on sale for $69.99.  They are 6 inches of pure bliss!!    I have them in this color and my sister also purchased them in black. I do not think they are for sale anymore but just had to share. Don't worry  I'll be sure to show you some great similar nudey's.  :)

-As mentioned above the first pair are my nude pumps that I purchased from Bakers.com.
-The second pair are new on the block.  They are called Dejavu and are by Steve Madden. They look sort of pink in that particular picture but I can guarantee you they are nude. TRUST ME! :)  Purchase at stevemadden.com.
-Third pair are the Niland pumps by Sam Edelman, they can be found at Endless.com
-Fourth pair are also by Steve Madden and are the Angels pump.  The color is a mix between blush and nude but it can be pulled off by the right shoe-nista.
-The last pair are by the great Christian Louboutin and are called Pigalle.  They have been seen as stars as big as Rihanna and Heidi Klum.   These are for my super shoe lovers who are willing to spend with their eyes closed.   They can be found at christianlouboutin.com/Bergdorfgoodman.com.

Be sure to remember that there are different shades of nudes.  So try and find the one that compliments your skin tone the best!

Make sure you get your nudey on this season!
